Grinding Gear

today i was driving in snow for the first time in my runner and i encountered a pile of snow and went for it but the car ended up not have enough clearance and the snow pilled up under the engine and bent the skid plate and then i put it in reverse and back into park not realizing the wheel was still spinning and it made a grinding sound WILL I BE OK HELP!!

I dont know why no one replied but yes you will be fine. When you put an automatic in park it uses a rachet like setting to stop the car from rolling. not somthing you want to do a lot but I do not think it will cause any long term issues
 
I bet he's talking about a-trac/ VSC noises.

No one replied I'm sure because a simple search would have an answered his ?
 
Naw he said he reversed and then put it in park while the wheels were spinning. He heared the Parking pawl or parking pen clicking when he put it in park.

That is an awful noise ha ha. Done it before!
