Grip tape for rock sliders

Just welded Stubbs HD-SKO sliders on today. Tried to do a search but couldn't find much. What grip tape have you folks had the best luck with? Obviously needs to be able to stand up to the elements. Preferably something that won't pull all of my leg hairs out. Thanks in advance!

I've used the friction tape available at Home Depot. Comes in 2" and 4". I've had it on my FJ62 for several years. Used it on others as well, the round tube is hard on it because it will eventually peel up, but not right away. Saves my wife from crashing and burning so it's worth it.

I went to a skateboard shop and got deck grip tape , it's still on after 3 years

If you use roll on paint, add some sand into it.

Or, you can sprinkle some sand onto still wet spray paint.

Or get some diamond plate to weld into the spaces in the sliders.

I rolled mine with monstaliner. And it has a very good texture to it. Actually feels like sand paper.

I would stay away from black magic. Shit is very brutal and doesn't last long. I know because I skated many years and all it does is eat up your shoes

I have the same sliders, and put 1" grip tape I found at Lowes on them. Been on for almost 2 years. It has held up well for me (mine is not a DD), definitely helps from slipping off them. I will warn, be careful if you wash with a power washer. Like at a carwash.

Mind you... I don't personally have it. But if/when I get sliders, I'll be hitting my local skate shop immediately after to grab a quick strip of deck tape. Years of skating, I know that stuff holds up in all kinds of elements. Muddy shoes, rocks, water, animal droppings.. :lmao: my deck always remained intact whatever I happened to drag onto it when skating. :yo:

hardware store grip tape. They call it "Ladder Traction Tape"
