Ground clearance question

Toyota lists clearance as 9.6", and most reviews say 9.5". When I measure under my Trail to the lowest points at the front skid I get 8.5". Just curious if the measurement is taken somewhere else or if other stock Runners ride higher than mine.

I was in dealership today and I swear the LE looked higher from the rear than the SR5, both were 4X4??? Woud the LE tires give off an optical illustion ??? Crazy as it is.

If you have KDSS then the front of the skid is lower than the back to allow for the swaybar travel.
