I need some help. Since intalling a Scion HU, PIE adaptor, and a Delphi XM Skyfi unit I have picked up the dreaded alternator noise. This only happens when I listen to the XM radio. I tried an iPOD powered by it's own battery and do not get the noice.
I went out and bought an inline filter for the cigerette lighter adaptor where I get power for the XM unit.
This is located in the console behind the shifter in my "03 4Runner.
My question is where can I pick up a substantial point to ground the filter? On btw, which wire is ground on the cigerette lighter?
