Hey Paul, the statement that I underlined in your post is true! If we continue to organize and work together as we have been, we will become known as a group power to be dealt with! ..."well rigtec, what do you mean..." Just think, we could stay organized to buy AGM batteries, dual battery switch kits, AOB or slee off-road in-dash-push-buttons, LED spot/floods...etc! My point... let's take our time to organize our group; remember... the larger the group, the better deals we can negotiate, and we take that wherever we go!

Would this be pretty much a "drop in" replacement for the stock alternator? Would there be any special wiring needed? I'm wondering if it's something that I could just take it to a shop and have them do the install.

You do want to do the big 3 at the same time, but your local shop can do that as part of install. That's what I'm doing.
