If I had to do it all over again of course I'd do these. There's nothing wrong with mine but who wouldn't want the peace of mind. I'm the type that has to have the best. Pretty cool idea but I can't go back in time

Question for exhaust nerds:

The collector diameter for the short tubes are 2.5", the long tubes are only 2.25".

If I supercharge my truck in the future will I regret getting the long tubes w/ smaller diameter? It seems that boosted vehicles benefit greatly from larger exhaust tubing.

I'm looking to weld an entire new exhaust so if I go with the 2.5" I can do 2.5" throughout the system. If I go with the 2.25" headers I would likely need 2.25" throughout.

Would you go with the URD supercharger or another option?

The URD kit looks complete and well put together so yeah probably. With what you're getting its actually a pretty good deal. I tried piecing together a centrifugal supercharger kit on a spreadsheet and it's the same cost as the URD.

Been a little crazy lately with the holiday. BUT YES!!! We need 20 people. I've been very involved in discussing this project with DT and trying to make it come to life. DT does listen to customers and listened to me as a sponsor on here about doing this test. I said I think it's good idea at least to try ONE RUN and got the green light, again, need 20. Very cool. These prices I also worked on and are very fair! I know what this stuff costs to make, and those that know also should be happy.

EDIT, there needs to be 20 total for LONG TUBES ONLY to make this happen. Doesn't matter if there are 100 people that want short tubes, 20 is the magic number that we need for LONG TUBES only. (The collector flanges must be bought at 20 sets to get the discount we need behind the scenes) So, as long as we get 20 people for LONG TUBES, any one that wants short tubes will be able to get short tubes even if there are only say 5 people than want short tubes.

Edit #2. Yes, these will also fit the GX470, 03-04 and 05-09. Same thing, same headers work on BOTH! Spread the word!

I'm planning to get the long tubes, but modify them for 2.5" flanges.

The next question is should I get them re-coated after I cut off the flanges and weld on my own. Probably $300.

The problem with getting 2.5" diameter on the long tubes is that they need to mate up to the factory y-pipe, which is 2.25" I think. So a set of long tubes with 2.5" flanges could only be used on a full custom exhaust.

That being said, 2.25" is probably ideal for low-end torque on a N/A small V8.

Just received my 06 today, have exhaust smell in vents, going to a friend's shop to give it a good look. I may be in for some long tubes, it looks like this is still at 14 paid?

Good luck trying to find a stock truck with these installed.

Honestly I doubt it would change much of the noise, people have even said they are quieter.

And the long tubes haven't been out long at all, so I haven't seen any videos of them.
