Did you paint your headers because they dont look polished like the ones in the pics on there website? Also what type of spacers are you using on the rear 02 sensors? I seen the J style and seen the ones you stack up but never seen those?

Yes, I had my headers re-coated with a higher quality ceramic coating. These spacers came from URD. Trying to find a link on their website (EDIT: Couldn't find a link to these spacers on their website). Pic of the headers after the new coating:

Curious where you went to coat these around the PNW, did you use the URD o2 sim or just the O2 spacers?

Not to be confused with the one in Everett as I shopped around and these Auburn guys were the best deal for the best product. Satin Grey Ice 2000 degree per Formidable's recommendation as well.

I did not use the rear O2 sim supplied by URD as I just had the UCON-EMS installed this week. I will do a review once I get to drive with it and get some info/data to share. URD said not to use the rear O2 sim with the UCON as they interfere with the tuning of each component. I drove about 2.5 tanks of 92 Octane after the LT install w/out the sim and before the UCON install. I didn't see a single check engine light. Several people mentioned these CEL take a little bit to show up though.

Awesome didnt know that URD sold those kind of spacers . I was told to just do the spacers and did not need to get the simulator and wire it in. If you find out were i can get these i would be highly interested. BTW what is this UCON system your referring to?

I was told as long as you have those spacers in the rear 02s with the front cats being deleted you will not get a CEL. So if you installed those on the rear 02 sensors when putting the doug thorley long tubes on then you shouldnt see one regardless

Yeah I never put the sim on and didn't experience any CEL's. I know blackoutt has a thread here where he talks a bit about the rear O2 sim here:

I looked around for the boxes that these spacers came in but couldn't find them. Contacting Gadget at URD might be able to help though. Formidable gave me the spacers in the pics when he sold me the runner and DT LTs which he purchased through URD. The UCON-EMS is the piggy back ECU URD includes with their supercharger kits to manage AFR and some other stuff. Link below:

If you want one for the 2UZ-FE you will need to contact Gadget so he can give you a custom tune for the V8 like the one they provide in their 2UZ-FE S/C kit. Link to the S/C Kit below:

SUPPOSEDLY the DT ceramic coating isn't THE BEST... and per Formidable's recommendation, I had them re-coated with a higher quality coating. Formidable only put the best in his 4runner so it may be overkill but I did it anyway to carry his vision/standards forward on this vehicle.

And now I have the UCON-EMS installed which will help prevent the CELs. This has just been my personal experience that I am sharing with the forum.

Yeah but on those 2 and half tanks you ran you had those 90 degree spacers installed right? Im aware you never installed the simulator but the spacers were installed while driving those 2 1/2 tanks? Why did you buy the UCON are you superchrged?

Yup I had those spacers on for those 2.5 tanks. And yes I'm supercharged

I've been running these for about a month now and haven't had any issues. I haven't had them long enough to provide any first hand info on the long term reliability though. The Amazon reviews look decent so take that for what it is.

Jason - I realize you’re trying to sell as many as possible here, but can you confirm when the order for the fully stainless longtubes will be put in with Doug Thorley. It’d be good to get them into production

Left a few messages with Jason earlier this week to see if I could jump onto this order with a couple long tubes before they are put into production—but haven't heard back from him yet.

I'm sure he's a busy guy, though. Pretty big project/group-buy to manage for these bad boys, especially getting so close to moving things forward.

UPDATE: Jason called me back this afternoon (same day as this original post) and I have to say he's incredibly passionate about what he does and he was beyond helpful. We genuinely spent almost an hour and a half on the phone and broke down everything I needed—also was able to get me into the group-buy for the premium setup.

He also mentioned he'll be calling everyone back who hasn't heard from him yet.

I too think I found someone willing to tackle it. When it comes to jobs like this, I know I could handle it and work a little bit after work every night, and spend $100 on new tools that I don't have, but there's something about dropping off the car with a trunk full of parts and picking it up finished that is so simple.

A friend of a friend works at a Jeep offroad shop and does some side work at home on nights and weekends, hoping he'll be willing to tackle it and I'll let him keep it for a week if it means I don't have to curse over broken studs!
