**Group Buy: Gobi Racks and accessories**

I went to install my fairing yesterday, got to the last bolt and realized the rack was missing a bolt hole. I was pissed but had to laugh it off, after 9-10 weeks of waiting, I had to get out the drill and finish the rack myself. Spray painting on top of a new 4runner trying to keep overspray off the truck was interesting. There was no way I was taking the rack off to paint the new hole I made

I am still waiting on my sunroof insert. My shipping invoice for the rack says it is back ordered and shipping two weeks ago now.

Someone asked about wind noise, I have no wind noise at highway speed, sunroof shade open, nothing. haven't opened the sunroof yet to see if there is any weird airstream yet.

I have the front hoop the same height as the rest of the rack so that helps too.

Is there any kind of shipment notification? Or do you not know where it is until the freight company contacts you to set up delivery.

Someone asked about wind noise, I have no wind noise at highway speed, sunroof shade open, nothing. haven't opened the sunroof yet to see if there is any weird airstream yet.

Most, if not all, of the wind noise comes from lights mounted up there. Mine sounds like a jet engine at 70 mph...

Call Sandra at GOBI, she will get in touch with the shipping company or will give you the shipping company contact info.

Make sure they have your correct phone number.

Dang. A jet engine at 70? It's hard for me to go that slow on the highway, and I do a lot of highway driving to get to the "playgrounds".

Tomorrow at Gobi I am getting my stealth installed with four 6" SR Rigids up front... starting to wonder if I will regret the light decision with the wind noise. Guess I'll find out tomorrow! :hungry:

You should be good, Antman has the larger classic style off road lights (official term is evading me....think big and round). These will make a lot more noise then your Rigids. I haven't heard of any complaints yet from anyone with Rigids.

Actually, he has the PIAA 2100s. They are a low profile oval. Somewhat similar to the Rigids but rounded at the edges.

I went with the Stealth/Rigid setup after having had good feedback from forum members here on the noise level. I am heading west tomorrow up to the Aspen/Marble area for some highway and off-road "testing". I will keep you posted on what I hear from the rack/lights.

Patience is important, after placing my order in April everything was finally ready last week. Rigid was back ordered, and of course keeping up with the demand for the awesome Gobi products is a difficult task.

Dropping my rig of last night at Gobi for the install I got to meet Sandra and John. These are GREAT hard working folks that put in 12 hour days to keep things moving out the door!

In the shop there at Gobi there were numerous racks waiting to ship out. AND, they have a whole truckload coming back in later today 07/18 from powder coating! Our patience will pay off!
