No custom work and was told 3-6 weeks to ship on order processing date. Followed up on week 6 and asked for an update- was told I'd be given an update. Now it's week 7 and still no update.

Yea that's how Gobi works. Don't worry, it will show up. Just don't count on it by a certain date.

The rack arrived Christmas Eve (clutch!); it was mounted on the truck by 10am Christmas day:banana:
Pros:
1. Great quality rack. As an engineer i've had a few projects analyzing equipment and material failures and I can say that Gobi certainly has talent in quality fabrication, welding specifically. The rack footings were done exceptionally well.
2. Also very convenient that the rack comes pre-wired to eliminate that hassle for the next project. The delivery took much longer than expected, so Gobi offered the option to choose an additional free accessory to make up for the delay.
Cons:
1. Took almost 4.5 months to have the rack fabbed and delivered which is much longer than the 3-6 weeks I was estimated. The wait wouldn't have been as frustrating if Gobi gave updates throughout the process, but that's a lot to expect from a shop that's probably only got a few people staffed.

Well I received my custom GOBI rack to be able to fit a 40 inch LED bar. It came in exactly 6 weeks after ordering. I ordered through Trail Duty. Cool people, fast responses even when I emailed on a Sunday they emailed me back after 30 minutes with the answer to questions. I did not get charged extra for a "custom" rack. So if someone is charging you extra for a 40 inch LED mounts go elsewhere!
Also a week after I purchased the rack online through their website I saw that they had 10% off for Black Friday deal. I emailed Trail Duty and asked if they can credit me the 10% back even though I purchased the rack on a non promotional day. They agreed and I got $150 credited back to my credit card. They could of declined and said sorry, but they agreed which is awesome customer service and I highly recommend them!
If I ever get a 5th gen I will purchase from them again!

I never got a response either.
So I ordered my GOBI from https://www.trailduty.com/
Very happy with them. I even changed my order to put in space for a 40" LED bar. Trail Duty called GOBI and made the changes.
Very happy with them.
Give them a try.
What was the price from trail duty if you dont mind me asking ?
