Will bolt on sliders like these OPORs support being lifted by a hi-lift jack? I had read that the sliders would need to be welded to be able to be used as a lift point.

Yes the sliders can be used as a single lift point. When lifting from a single point sliders in general can flex upward below the rocker pinch weld on the truck and contact that weld. The top main body of the rail is then in contact the lower rocker distributing the contact point across the lower rocker. When the truck comes off the single point the slider flexes back away from the rocker to its regular position. Of course sliders can be "made to not move at all" but then you lug around a huge weight penalty for little performance gain.

We did change our foot design for the OPOR 5th gen sliders recently with some of this in mind. We increased our mounting feat thickness at the frame by 35%. Its a great balance to still keep the weight down yet decrease possible flex.

Performance of any slider is how well it protects the truck at the same time working with it for daily use.

When will they ship?

The first round of the Group Buy sliders will start to ship after the 14th. Raw ones will be going first as powder coated versions will be headed for sandblast, wash down, bake, powder, bake, powder and bake. Yup they get baked 3x. (Its Oregon its legal now:mullet First heats up and burns off the chance of any oils missed and drying form the phosphate washdown and the hot metal is better for first coat of powder. Needless to say the powder coat process is neither fast or inexpensive.

Was the foot design changed for the 4th gen as well?

Never needed to. The 4th gen a completely different mounting foot system, one plate, one wrap around and one custom made 7/16" grade 8 u-bolt.

Great deal! Will order this week as soon as I can decide the answer to the ultimate question...."to trim or not to trim" the 10-13 Sr5 rocker panels? don't want to make it even more difficult to step in, but sure like the trimmed look. Decisions, decisions.....

Would they interfere with the factory mudguards on LE?

I am thinking of placing the order, but not sure if OPORs could be installed on the vehicle with front mudguards.
Anybody installed them on LE?
