Previously there was a 2014 trail version to order. Now either a 2010+ trail and 2014 sr5. Want to make sure if I have a 2014 trail that I order the 2010+ trail version.

What is the difference between the SR5 and Trail sliders?
From reading the descriptions it looks like the SR5s are a little lower and maybe make a better step?

The SR5 and Limited versions have a piece of trim that hangs down a few inches below the rocker panels. The Trail version's trim is much shorter which gives it more ground clearance.

If you have Trail trim and order the SR5 slide there will be a large gap between the bottom of the trim and top of the slide. You are right, as it's lower down it will probably make a better step, especially if you have a lift. But the connection pieces will be exposed.

As for the KDSS, I believe you will have to carefully bend/move the connecting lines.

It depends. SR5 from 10-13 had the low hanging skirt that the Limited 10-15 have. SR5 from 2014+ have the same exact rocker trim as the Trail 14+ has. So technically there should not be any different in height or gap of the slider in regards to the trim for SR5's 2014 and on as compared to the trail. Whether or not there are some changes to the way it mounts to the frame MT would have to answer that. I would assume not and that they have to somehow make the right the delineation on their order page so people don't actually make a mistake ordering.
