**Group Buy: TRS HID projector retrofit**

To clarify, the GB I'm talking about is ONLY for equipment and not labor.

I would just like to say what an awesome company TRS is.

I called them today to put together a custom package (LS 460 projectors with clear lenses coupled with Osram Xenarc SVS bulbs and Morimoto 35w ballasts). Matt is great to deal with and you can't wrong dealing with this company.

My package is being sent to LightWerkz for the retrofit process (much more expensive than the excellent group buy deal being offered here). I also ordered some OEM headlight housings through Sparks Toyota which are being sent to LightWerkz as well.

Nice! I wanted these too but like harper7 the size and cost made me go with the RX330 projectors instead. I also got my goods from TRS and sent them to Lightwerkz for my project. Couldn't be happier with the result.

Here are some output pics I took tonight. I drove around a good amount tonight and did not get flashed once. I love the way these turned out. Everything is so much brighter fuller. I'm extremely happy with the results.

Intense output! Makes me want to change my bulbs to 5000K.

What is the retro-fit adapter? The thing the involves no cutting. When I call them they said that you would still have to cut the light case o insert the projector. I'm confused by this since it made it sound like there was no cutting involved?

There are two options you can do. 1st is the no cut option which TRS provides wire taps so you don't have to cut.

Just so people have the right information in their decision-making:

Bi-xenon projectors are not a requirement. Since our 4Runners have separate high-beams, bi-xenon capability adds extra cost for no appreciable difference. (This is just my opinion, of course).

You will still need to open/bake the headlight for the retro-fit adapter.

I'm still in for this since the other GB doesn't include labor. I don't have the space to do the labor myself without my girlfriend freaking out. That said, can we put a final cut-off on this to get it moving?

RIDE, Ford owes me back a deposit of $500 on a truck that was never ordered. Should be cleared up in the next day or two. Otherwise, I will pull it out of my savings so I can square up with you for this GB.

Also, this is my first post! I have a 2012 black TE on order and I have been reading tons on the forum to sort out my upgrades and mods. Hoping to connect in person with some of you in say Moab or Tetons this year for some past time fun.
