**Group Buy: TRS HID projector retrofit**

as mentioned in another thread, there is a current group-buy code for TRS which results in a 25% discount which can be applied directly at checkout. I think we are all better off going that route.
 
You can *probably* get the work done the same as before (Andrew doing it after hours) and just buy using the tacomaworld code.

I emailed Andrew at trs when I first told u about the tacomaworld gb and he stated he wasn't able to do it, but maybe he has since changed his mind.

If you buy this from TRS, do you have to send in your headlight assemblies to have them work on it? How does this work?

TRS does not perform retro-fits. However, they recommend three retro-fitters on their website. Of the three recommended, LightWerkz has the best finished products (if you're willing to pay a premium). On a $40k truck, a few extra hundred bucks to receive OEM or better quality work is worth it in my humble opinion. (The labor on my retro-fit is ~$750)

Anyone have Andrew's contact info at TRS? I would like to email/message him to see if he is still doing the retrofits on the side, unless someone on here is good with making some cash, and could do them relativley quick....
 
Sorry to bump a dead GB thread, but I'm wondering if anyone has used some of the other retrofitters on TRS (or elsewhere), what they paid, and how the experience went.

I really want to do the upgrade but am always hesitant to be the first without researching (to use a 3rd party). :hiding:
 
Anyone know of any reputable shops that can install already retrofitted headlamps? In the southern california area?

Yeah, I saw the posts on Lightwerkz, and searched other threads and read a few, but was looking for info on the other recommended installers through TRS or other experiences people have had (outside of Lightwerkz or TRS).

I know my post count is low here, but I've been around a while and I get the whole search thing. :keyboard:
