"Even with the existing projector, to swap the unit out would require baking open the headlight. We have a "Retro-Quik" projector and bracket that swaps in without any cutting or the Lexus RX-AFS/FX-R can fit with some trimming."

gamerc- This GB is still going but is a little slower then a typical product since it involves a bit more then just a bolt on mod. It is up to those who have paid if they want to wait to make this happen or if I should just refund everyone's payments.

I am hoping to finish up my install today and report back with pics.

Hi Mark, so to clarify, even with the OEM halogen projector setup in the OEM 2006 Headlight, it's not a simple - "remove Halogen OEM projector and swap in HID projector? The headlight still has to be baked and taken apart?"

That statement sounds like no baking is required. Can you please clarify yet again?

SilverGS- I'm waiting for a reply about your question now.

I completed the install of my retrofitte'd "ebay" headlights in about 3 hours. I used Ducmonsta's way of removing the headlight which I think saved me a bunch of time. I did not remove the entire bumper but just "unclipped" the top of it and moved it forward. I am putting up a small write up with pics of how I did it but I followed Philsey's "how to" as shown here. His "how to" worked great for me.

The ebay headlights are perfect. From what I can tell and see, the fitment is spot on. Still unsure as to how they'll hold up over time but that's a different story. As of right now I am very happy with them.

Andrew's work from what I can tell is pretty good. I was able to aim the headlights pretty easily in hte garage. I will get a better idea of the aim once it gets dark tonight. I will report back with that.

As of right now I am very very happy with the results.

What color temp did you get. 4300K or 5000K?

Did you go with the Denso or Morimoto ballasts?

These are the TE style headlights. I went with 5000k and Morimoto ballasts. No night shots yet because the sun is still out. I will get some once the sun sets. Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm really happy with the look of it all.

Damn, every time Ride posts a pic of his truck I get jealous. Clean as hell, I really like what you have done with your truck. Some night pics would be great when you get a chance, trying to decide on the 4300k and 5000k myself.

Here are some output pics I took tonight. I drove around a good amount tonight and did not get flashed once. I love the way these turned out. Everything is so much brighter fuller. I'm extremely happy with the results.

Pics:
1. Driver side- 25 feet away from the wall
2. Passenger side- 25 feet away from the wall
3. Directly behind a much smaller Honda Civic and i'm not lighting up the inside of their car at all. Cutoff and aim seam spot on to me.
4. Driver seat view, Low beam's only on completely pitch black street.
5. Same view as 4 but zoomed in.

So it looks like Blazed870 is backing out of the GB. This may not happen anymore since gamerc says there's a better deal elsewhere. Please let me know what you guys all want to do. I will refund payments if needed or give it more time to see if we can make this happen. Please let me know what you think.

To add to Philsey. The stock high beam would(should) still work. it would be kind of cool if both the stock high beam and the bi-xenon high beam worked in conjuction.

What is the retro-fit adapter? The thing the involves no cutting. When I call them they said that you would still have to cut the light case o insert the projector. I'm confused by this since it made it sound like there was no cutting involved?

I would just like to say what an awesome company TRS is.

I called them today to put together a custom package (LS 460 projectors with clear lenses coupled with Osram Xenarc SVS bulbs and Morimoto 35w ballasts). Matt is great to deal with and you can't wrong dealing with this company.

My package is being sent to LightWerkz for the retrofit process (much more expensive than the excellent group buy deal being offered here). I also ordered some OEM headlight housings through Sparks Toyota which are being sent to LightWerkz as well.

Can't wait to see the LS460 projectors retrofitted. They were what I originally wanted to retrofit but they are so big(compared to the S2K) I chickened out .I'm sure Lightwerkz will know how and do a great job. What shrouds did you go with?

The LS460 projectors actually come with their own shrouds (some sort of clear shroud or something). I'll post pics when I receive the completed housings.
