GTA car kit instal not connecting(JBL)

Trying to install the GTA Car Kit full bluetooth in my 2006 with JBL.
I followed the instal video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGIK-fLuuVU.
The phone connected to the Kit but I cant get the radio to connect or select the blue tooth option.
In the video he mentions to select CD on the radio and "CD1" will run the phone. CD1 just flashes then goes back to the radio.

on the back I installed the harness but that left part of the stock harness just floating.(see picture) Am I missing a Y connection?

GTA has been super helpful through email. They suggested starting the car. Low and behold that worked... for a bit. While testing out the microphone I turned up the volume using the phone. Some how I disconnected the call from the radio. After the conversation the disc/aux button doesn't seem to work. GTA suggested a soft reset by unplugging the kit and starting the car for 30 seconds. Then reinstall and test. Nothing changed. Still can't select the disc/aux button.

I would try another module and check wiring for pinching and chafing from radio to BT kit.

Bluetooth success

So after much helpful back and forth with GTA they sent me a new unit and it worked perfectly. Got real quick at taking apart the console and dash.

I've been using my GTA kit for a while and found that I have to crank the volume to take a phone call.

Also, I let my wife connect her phone thru bluetooth once, and I couldn't connect mine the next time I got in the car. Now she uses the audio cable with CD2.
