I didn't know the difference between A and B, so I googled it to compare to my pics. My guess is B, but I don't really know. This is a pic of the back of my 06-09 Headlights
edit: looks like whatever source I used wasn't very accurate or I don't know what I'm looking at. Sounds like its actually A

A simple web search turned up that Toyotas are primarily H11A style. Took me less time to find that out than to post the answer here.

It more obvious than bulb orientation...the main difference with H11A and H11B bulbs...at least with incandescent bulbs...is how it 'plugs' in.
The H11A bulbs have the traditional external plug socket where the connector from the vehicles 'plugs' into the bulb.
The H11B...I know this because I have a '08 Sorento (H11B) and '16 CRV (H11A) in the fleet...does not have a traditional plug socket...it has 2 prongs (+/-) or tabs that slide into a type of socket built or attached to the headlight assembly near the bulb socket.
(KIA and Hyundai like to use the headlight assemblies that have just 1 large plug for the entire assembly rather than individual connectors for each bulb in the assembly. So, I guess that's why they used the H11B...stick it in, turn it (empty your wallet) and your done.) Plus, H11Bs are harder to find...I don't think Toyota would go that route with something as simple as bulbs.
Be glad that you use the H11A bulbs...for some reason, the H11B are 2 to 3x more expensive than the H11A.

OP are you looking for halogen or plug n play HID bulbs?
Halogen - H11. As Swamp mentioned a halogen H11b has a totally different electrical connector than the traditional H11.
HID-wise, if the seller offers an option for A or B, it's usually B. Some PNP HID bulbs are only offered as a single H11 base, like Xenon Depot, but luckily the return wire and tabs are at the correct position for a projector light assembly. A H11a will fit, but the return wire will cause a "shadow" on the beam pattern.
The widest notch on your headlight pic appears to be in the 11ish o'clock position, so it should be B.

if your doing the HID kit, its H11B for stock toyota projector headlights.
maybe save up and do a true hid projector retrofit?
