Completely stock 4runner for sale on ebay, with 285's! I thought the truck looked beefy when I first glanced over it, and then I saw the tire size. How about that....

yeah i dont know about that one, they look as big as mine are, and they arent 285s, something is a little bit off on that one, either they took a pic of another tire, or the tires were stamped wrong.

haha thats kinda trippy, i take a blink look at it and i think my mind is playing tricks on me.
at first i was telling me self there is no way those are 285s... then look at the photo again and tire seem a little more beefy..
but still 285s? iunno hahaha

I don't think the pics are photoshopped, and I don't think the tires are goofy. I simply think that Uniroyal's 285/75R16 runs small, and they are pretty worn out. Here's a different shot so you can see the width a litter better....they're wider than 265's. They just don't look tall enough. I think it's hilarious that a completely stock 4runner has "33's" on it, and we tell every noob who asks that they won't fit. Which they don't.....normally. lol

I wonder if the running boards and non-aggressive tread are playing tricks on us. They do possibly look beefy enough to be 285's. They look larger than Michelin LTX 265's do on those rims.

I have similar looking Uniroyal Laredo's currently on mine but in the 265/70/16 size. They do look bigger than my tires but they probably look smaller than a 285 because of the tread.

I hate to keep plugging my build thread but I will, You can stuff 285's under the stock truck. I lifted mine and never changed the tires. My build thread has more details but here is the skinny.

Check out the center caps in the second pic. Proof I cant photoshop. You can fit 285's under a stock truck, but i wouldnt recomend it, hence my lift.

I could believe they're 285s. That truck looks to be a '99 4wd - possibly with the tall coils? I'm running the "99 tall coils with 265/75, and I could easily fit 285s and drive down most roads. I would worry about rubbing when I make sharp turns like in my parking garage.

you talking about mine? I've got the SS 3.0 lift which is just the '99 tall coils.
