New England... Where are the runners?

One would think that there would be a lot more 4runner owners here in the NorthEast. Probably they just don't know about toyota-4runner.0rg .

Maybe I should get one of those window stickers? Would it give my truck a few more HP like the TRD stickers?? Hmmmm.....

Well, I'm from New England and looking to buy a 1st or 2nd gen 4R. Does that count? I just haven't actually done it yet, still in the research phase.

I just picked up a 95 today 125k on the clock and immaculate inside and out. I had 89 Jeep Cherokee which has reached a state of jalopydom so I am junking it. I paid $4700 for the 4runner. How did I do?

I'm interested and I have been loking for a club or chapter in Ct for 4 RUNNERS and have had no luck either . Just found this site today and registered and really like it ! I have talked to lots of people around Ct and the general concensus is that unless you are in a club that has access to private land there is no place in Ct that you can legally ride.
I am still interested though !

Hi I'm from Boston MA.

I just picked up a 84 4-runner with 4 inch lift, 35x12.5 Mud Kings 15" rims, Chevy 350/TH350 Swap.

Only thing really wrong with the truck is the motor is blown. (Cracked Block or Head)
But I'm buildin a new 5.7 in my garage right now. Just a low end torque motor.

Just bought a 99 with 125,000. Was a Mass. truck so there are a few love taps here and there:wink2: Runs great Check engine light is on but no worries here. No mods yet. Still getting used to all that power; ( had an 02 Trooper before) More comfy too.

Those love taps will nicely compliment the scratches we tend to get on those old logging roads. Check engine light came on my '96 at about 210,000 miles and went off at 212,000. Still ran great.
 
Ya know, as I scroll through the local forums for the NE area, I find it very pathetic that this thread originated in 2004, and there still isn't any sort of group, or club originated from this?

Obviously there's an issue that we don't have any sort of wheeling club, so why not start one up? Start having meets at a centralized location just to get to know each other, then move on from there to find some spots to go wheelin'.

Food for thought.
