i will look into it more when i got it but i think the motor is shot. it has the milkshake and has had for a long time and i headed something about a cylinder is messed up. i literally looked at it for a total of 10 min for both so when i get them we will go over both real good and see what can be done with either of them. and the runner is as auto, im not ragging on autos or anything like that but if it was man i would be swapping the other way around probably, if the motor runs.

you dont think of everything when just offered trucks for free haha was a lot to take in

What a come up!! Gotta love family! If I were you, I'd keep both, turn the PU into a beater dd and slowly turn the runner into a sweet crawler! Or turn PU into crawler and use 4runner for parts or sell it. Either way, I'm jealous! :cheers:

not sure about the efi, wanting to get them home friday and will give them a good going over.

wanting to turn the PU into more crawler like but not for crawing more for do whatever truck and use the runner for parts, would like the runner but the motor is sounding worse and worse. and the PU is very under powered, he said it might not be able to pull itself out of a ditch. thinking like a work truck for camping like thing, we have a cabin on a river and its back country and would be good for that.

I had an '88 P'up that looked just like that, I sold it 2 years ago to some guy from Ohio for $2000. It had major cancer and a bent frame(hit a curb sideways doing 50).

The runner is an 87 sr5 with the 22re. Let me know if I am wrong. I will argue though, because I am sure that is what it is.

the runner is a EFI SR5 and the motor will not start, the more i looked at it today working on them the more i wishes it could be the one to keep. the PU is carbed with the 3 sec front and moved some stuff over but the frame it tweeked from being flipped on its side.

and a thing i would like to know because i really dont, neither have solid front axles, but there is a grear box where it would be, what is that?

thats your front diff, almost the exact same as in your 3rd gen 4runner, its just on the older trucks and runners you can see it better...
