Hammock Camping

Anyone ever done it? I am thinking about getting one of these and leaving my tent behind on my next camping trip.

These camping hammocks are pretty cool and very comfortable. Any input?

I have one of the Eno hammocks, but not the tent hammock. I have used it camping before. I loved using it due to little space consumption, lightweight, and its comfortable. I did also use a tarp laid over a line above me to create a sort of awning

Nice. Yea I am thinking about taking one of these and ditching the tent. But I have to be pretty sure that it will do everything my tent can do. But overall you have been happy with it?

Love the Hammocks. I find them so much more comfortable than sleeping on the ground. I have quite a few but not this one. i usually use it along with the tent for lounging and naping. Slept in it a couple of nights with a tarp hanging above me, but still had the tent just in case. Think you should still bring the tent with you the first time incase you dont like the Hammock. Also you can store the rest of your gear in the tent.

Yeah, overall i've been extremely happy with it. When you buy though, make sure you get straps for it. I know eno sells theirs separately. Its definitely in my gear bag that gets thrown in the back of my 4runner. If you can find an outdoor store locally, buy it, try it, and then decide where you wanna go with it. If you don't like it then return it.
