Hey all. I'm trying to have a meet-up if anyone is interested. I've got a grill and a patio out back that is great for hanging out. Anyone in the Hampton Roads area is welcome to come. I can accomodate about 10-12 people at my place. Anymore than that and we'll just need a few extra chairs to be brought. I've got an extra table in the garage that can go out on the patio. Just PM me and let me know what you plan to bring as far as food and drink goes.

New date is Sunday October 14th.

I may be able to join, it sounds like a good time and opportunity to meet other local members. I have been wondering how many other members were on here from the 757 area.

Are any of you Busch Gardens members? We could start out by meeting up there when it opens at 10am, then head back to my place in Hampton after a few hours for some grillin and chillin.

Normally I would but I have been planning on wrenching on the truck this weekend for weeks. Been doing OT at work and finally have a chance to get at this little pile of parts. Hopefully next time. Have fun tho

What you got to pu on? We could turn this into a maintenence meet. Just bring you parts and tools.
 
Yeah I was gonna ask that question too. Don't know if I'll have anything to do but I thought about blacking my headlights out. Anyone experienced in that would be great.

What part do you want to black out? The inside? Blacking out the glass lens is completely illegal in VA.

That is in the plans. Not for this weekend but ultimately. I can live with the reduced output from blacking out the reflector until I put the projectors in. I wouldn't put a tinted spray/cover over the exterior tho.
 
I guess you could use the VHT niteshades plus some clearcoat on the inside. The hardest part is getting the lenses off, which is just a matter of heating up the glue and seperating them from the housing.
 
You know I'm down.
But the 4Runner is out of commission for at least a week.
Bad tire is throwing my alignment out. Waiting on new front coils to hike the front end up just a .25", and then throwing 35's under her and regearing to 4.88's. I will see you then ;)

You are welcome to come even without your 4runner. Just bring something to throw on the grill and whatever you'd like to have as a side.
 
Shadow, I'm new to the forum and glad to see people in Hampton Roads, I live in York County at the border of Hampton close to LAFB. My T4R is almost identical to yours. Its a green 2000 Sport with 5spd. Looks like your picture was taken down at outerbanks and that's why I can't come this weekend, would really like too but promised the wife. I did just buy about $1200 worth of parts for my 4Runner though and that is happening in the next few weeks. Had it for 14 years and other than Cold Air intake headers and exhaust its time to replace all the wearing parts, brakes, LBJ, shocks, struts, coils and tune up parts. Anyway would really like to hook up in the future.

Cool man. I hope to make this a regular thing, maybe once a month and rotate around to different peoples houses. I hate restaurant food for the most part, so this seems like a good way to get people together without blowing a bunch of money on crappy food.
