It would have a tough time staying up most likely. I wet down the insulation on the hood when washing the motor and it had a hard time staying up.

That's what I'm worried about. I'm gonna try messing around with it open and adding weight to it slowly to see how much it can take. I saw how [MENTION=85844]fedrlbiker[/MENTION] did his and may go get some Z brackets and go that route. IIRC I didn't see the second screw that he used for the mounts in the back when i looked earlier.

I mounted my hellas by just screwing a piece of angle iron onto the center bumper bracket.... They jiggle like boobs now xD

I checked out a lot of different options for this and I don't feel like the grill and subframe could support the weight.
I'm in the middle of modifying a light bar mount built for a Taco which mounts on the radiator support and will try to post up some pics soon.
After looking at the support options under there, I'd say your best options are to use the radiator support or the bumper support brackets. You could run a flat piece of iron across the 3 bumper supports and then shim the light bar to get the desired height. Might be the easiest solution.

I was thinking about this too. I actually have a totally diff idea now. I'm going to try to modify my KC hi lites to take an HID bulb. I know it's an H3 and I have a 55w 9005 laying around (HID one) that i'm going to try and jerry rig so it'll be free. If i can do this, they'll be going back on a smaller bull bar. I kind of want to keep my grille as clean as possible and I feel like with the logo and stuff it'll block light output, I dunno.
So assuming I can some how manage this with some creative thinking, I'll forgo the LED bar. I think that an HID in that pencil beam reflector would compare to a spot LED bar. But I guess we'll see
Ideas/thought/comments? (don't tell me I should just use an h3 bulb, That's my back up, but I have these laying around and I figure it's worth a shot)

Hopefully the KC idea works out, then i'll mount them on a smaller bull bar, i don't love this giant one anyway.
If that doesn't work i may just suck it up and get a 30" LED

They didn't when they were mounted there. Now those LEDs are reverse lights that I mounted in place of those stupid useless coat hangers in the back

Retro fitted my KC HI lites with 55W HIDs. Figured I would bump this thread with the new info in case anyone was following this. It was pretty easy, required some modification to the bulb holder (on the bulb) and eliminates the use of the (-) H3 halogen socket in the socket. They're bright as hell.
I'll get some photos at a darker location eventually, but this is in my "backyard"

So I just spent the last hour searching for reviews on the MicTuning 41.5" light bar and couldn't find anything. The product code is a Hanma B-series product code, which has the Epistar LED's. So I then search for reviews on both of those and can't find anything except a link to this thread on T4R! Awesome.
A friend of mine ordered the MicTuning 41.5" light bar off amazon the other day. It's currently on it's way via UPS and he has now decided he might not want it because it will put glare on his hood if he mounts it on his roof. He now wants to trade me his light bar for a Memphis 1500watt amp I have that I'm trying to sell. YES!!
Anyone have any experience with the above light bar or ANY Hanma B-series light bar? I read the whole thread and saw that:
1) 30,000 hours compared to 50
2) Toughened Glass
3) No problems with Epistars
I don't care about the warranty. I don't know if he ordered a flood, spot, or combo. I'm just triple checking that I actually want this light bar and it will last me a while. This is an awesome trade I'll be taking advantage of! Hopefully he follows through with his offer.
Anyone who has mounted a light bar on their roof have glare issues off their windshield or their hood? If so, how did you fix the issue?

I set up group orders from Hanma for members here for about 9 months so I know a decent bit. The have made several revisions to this model for the newer bars they have now. What kind of info are you looking for?
So far I've only seen one on t4r go bad, it was a 30" and HOJeepster owned it. It began leaking and forming condensation after the glass lens cracked. He had it mounted in the lower bumper though where it's prone to having rocks thrown at it. I believe it continued to work despite the crack and condensation.
I'm sure others have gone bad elsewhere, but since everyone relabels these bars as their own brand you won't find much info using the Hanma name.
I have a B series 13.5 and two 7.5s on my Gobi rack, I get a lot of hood glare and haven't remedied it yet. I'm thinking the best option will be to create some sort of cut off that sticks out beneath the light and blocks most of the light that hits the hood. The two 7.5s are spots and there is still so much stray light that hood wash can't be prevented by aiming.
I wouldn't be too concerned in the flood vs spot issue as the optics of the B series isn't great and you probably won't see much of a difference.
If you don't want the amp and do want a light bar, it's probably a pretty even trade. You could probably sell the amp and find a newer version light bar *near* the price you sell the amp for if you spend a lot of time searching but then you may not, and you'll spend a lot of timing waiting on the sale, looking for a low price, and your buddy's will be gone if you don't find that lower price.
