I'm not sureon th LED's. The poly Carb is much more durable, like flying rocks and things might break glass where it might only scratch PC.
If I recive the 13.5 befor the second order I might get a SR 20" allso!

Don't apologize, it's a good question.
CREE is just known as a better manufacturer, CREE is the same brand bulb that the name brand LED companies use in their lights. But yeah, its just a brand
Glass is supposed to be slightly optically better but poly is more durable and won't shatter when small rocks and road debris hits it.

Seems to be a lot of assumptions and guesses about the quality and components. I've worked with Hanma for the past 8 months developing their BC series. If anybody wants any concrete data on th internals or optic specs, please PM me and we can discuss privately. Not trying to take sales from the OP, just want to inform people of what they are purchasing.

Did this group buy prompt you to register and post on this forum? If you've been "working" with Hanma, then why not just publish your specs so that everyone can view the information w/o going the PM route? What is so secret about the internals and optics?

It did prompt me to post, I have invested interest. I'm extending my knowledge in this feild. I have 5 years of HID, LED, and halogen optics and design. Working with Hanma has been great. I can let members post assumptions and guess on the quality. I'd rather share the information via PM for personal reasons. I work off an iPhone and email is ALWAYS easier. I should of registered under my more common username of "2000UZJ". Which is me on other forums, I spew lighting knowledge left and right for members.

If you have an "invested" interest with Hanma and their sales, why wouldn't you just post information about their products in here? We are all members so spew your vast knowledge of Hanma lighting left and right for us.......

Fair enough. I have 2 posts here. Not really convincing, I'll admit. I'll post up tonight when I get home. Currently sitting at ohare in Chicago.

Will be interested in hearing what you have to say. There have been several other people that have come on T4R posing as lighting experts and trying push "their" products. They usually try to downplay the fact that they are actually just importing them and trying to brand them as their own.
Gaterose, is a long time, trusted member and is not trying to act like he is something he is not. He is just helping members by doing the leg work in a group buy. That is what this forum is about, helping other members.

Completely understand and I did not want to give that impression. When I started working with Hanma they were a younger company in the LED market. Experienced in the HID industry, however the optics and methods don't apply. LED light bars are a niche market and very different. I took it upon myself to assist Hanma in improving optics and moving away from the Epistar and toughed glass which fails the 100G drop test, and as most know chip and crack. When I got the first light bar the optical efficiency was around 58%. We are now at 91% and trying to make it better. I guess the reason I came off as so secretive is I feel that the design belongs to me so it should be kept silent and not spewed everywhere. It was a long road, finally getting a product that worked well and than seeing it all over the Internet and no credit. Im a Toyota owner as well and always will be. I drive a 2000 100 Series Land Cruiser that gets dragged through boulder feilds. I sent the OP a message offering him import assistance as we just brought in 1,100lbs of light bars and hit a few speed bumps. The last thing I want is to see a fellow Toyota enthusiast eat dirt because he checked the wrong box. Ordering a couple cartons of lights for buddies is one thing. Importing a pallet on air cargo is another. I hate seeing people fail, I joined to assist, educate, and possibly grow my Bussiness and help the OP make a little beer money by learning the import scenes a little better. I hope this clears up any friction or confusion.

Thanks for the responses ExpLighting, but as we discussed via PM, I am simply trying to pass on some savings to forum friends. I don't think that I've posted any assumptions or guesses about the bars here, just the information that I was provided by the manufacturer.

Even though I'm no longer a 4runner owner I feel like I have a fair say in this since Gaterose and myself were the first here to purchase these lightbars. If anyone has doubts you can forget them.
A lot of you have seen the output pictures of the Hanma lights I had mounted on my 4runner and the absurd amount of light they had. You WILL NOT find a better deal and better quality for the price anywhere.
Gaterose and myself have researched and had many discussions in depth about this stuff. The only reason I wanted to step in and say something is that I don't want anyone to question Matt or what he's selling in any way. I know him personally and consider him a close friend.
Sorry if I knocked this further off track but you absolutely can't go wrong with Matt or what he's selling. Period.

Yeah things got a little weird there for a bit and made it hard to stick with the GB info.
Right now the date is 1/31 but a lot of guys want to bump it up to 1/15. If enough want to order early I will just split it into an early order and an end of the month order. That way the guys who have to wait don't get hosed but the less patient ones don't have to wait.
Let me know which you prefer.
If you meant when as in "before or I after I place the order," then that would be before. I'll take payment, place the order then the lights should be at my door in about 2 weeks and your door within 3-4 days from that.
I plan to send out messages to everyone a day or two before the scheduled purchase date (1/15 or 1/31) asking for payment. I then send messages to everyone when:
- I receive confirmation of payment
- Payment clears
- Lights are shipped (with tracking # from them to me)
- Lights arrive
- I ship (with tracking # from me to you)
