Hard top issues?

So I've been looking at a bikini top from KTT for this summer... but as far as I know, the hard top has never been taken off this truck. Am I looking at big time sealing or leakage problems if I take the top off at this point in the game? Advice? Thanks all.

I've always considered it more desirable to buy a truck that has never had the hardtop taken off. Given that it's currently sealing well, I think you'll be fine. If I recall, the only possible leak areas are the slidey windows, and the roof/top intersection. That intersection has bent metal to keep water out, which does a good job.

I have never had a drop of water get through the hard top and find its way inside.

I think you'll be absolutely fine taking the top off, and having a decent seal when it goes back on. Go for it! I'm counting the days to put my KTT bikini on.

Yeah I can't wait. Getting a ratchet strap system together to lift the top and store it. Neoprene seat covers are on the list, too.

Fancy. Lifting that top solo would be impossible. I hate even doing it with only myself and one other. I usually wait til a third person is around to make it easy.

There pictures of your rig around here? We're all nice and community oriented 'round here. Assuming you feel like staying. Most ask a handful of questions and leave.

Here she is this morning. Managed to snap a couple pics after it snowed a bit last night.

Wouldn't mind sticking around here for a bit, there's a ton of good info on here and some really nice looking trucks. Had a few yotas in the past but never realized the kind of following they had.

^^^^ agreed stick around awhile oh and:worthless
Hahaha

Likewise! Never had a leak from the top.. but from the front windshield area, different story LOL.
Nice truck! :)
x2 on the heavy part, gotta have a friend or two to help !

Yeah I figure throw some beers at a couple of my buddies and it shouldn't be a problem. Just trying to figure out some of way of storing it. Probably the roof of the carport with some bars and ratchet straps.

Mine just goes on the side of the house. Screw it.
