Has anyone heard of this weld-togther Bumper??

Dude, not trying to bust your balls, but when did you buy your bumper...back in 2000...or did you buy it used? I just did a search...the cheapest I found was $1175. Then with shipping...I was looking right at $1300! Although, I did find one place that was offering free shipping. I'm sure if you can show us where we can get an ARB Bumper for our 4Runners for $800 shipped to our house...there would be a lot of guys on here that would like that info! Thanks...

For this bumper, it's $360 for the bumper + $45 for a half hoop which =$405. I checked out shipping, which to Ohio was $121...so I'm looking at $405 + $121 = $521 at my door. I myself have a buddy that will help me with welding. And I have another buddy that does powder coating...I just have to pay for the powder, which will be less than $30.

So for $600 I'll be able to have a kicka** bumper!! Even if I had to pay for powder coating...tops is another $150. $600 or $750 is a lot less than $1300!!

I got 4wheelparts.com to match the autoanything price. It was $797 at that time. They're $866 now.

I think what has made the price go up so much...is our dollar has lost so much value in the world market. It's really sad. I would love to have an ARB bumper...they are very nice bumpers...your lucky to have one. But wow...that's a lot of money these day!!

Thanks. You can still get them for $866 shipped. You're probably right about the dollar. Price went up about 9% since 2011.

i just bought my ARB bumper last year for just over $700 brand new. while i havent seen a NWT bumper in person, i do see his adds on CL all the time, cant knock the product cause i havent seen one, but for as many wheelers and tacomas and 4runners as there are running around up here in the portland metro area, im surprised i haven't. again not sayin his product is bad, but i do tend to think its a little on the $$$ side. but who knows with a small co maybe you get good customer service. id really like to see one of these bumpers in person to get a good look at it and see how they are made.

I've been eyeing these. Their site doesn't address a difference in fender flares, so I think if you have limited style flares (like me) you are SOL.

I live close enough that I have been considering going down to their shop and ask for some different features on a kit.

I think the kits are designed to sit flush with limited/sport flares, so it's kind of the other way around. That might be something to bring up with him though.

He is willing to work with you to make it fit your truck, He had mine slightly modified to work with my 3" Body Lift.

One of the most important parts of the bumper is how it mounts, and how its reinforced, and I would want more info/photos of that bumper before purchasing.

That bumper is just a little fat looking in the front for my own tastes... I would hit that all the time on the trails

Im in the same boat as you guys, I've had my eye on an ARB for years, but the cost of these bumpers is the hang up. When I saw this kit I was very excited, finally an affordable DIY option! But seeing the kit, theres a lot more pieces than I thought & I have little welding experience......

I guess I am still on the hunt for a used ARB....

The hard part would be piecing it together, not the welding part I would think. Maybe if you have never really welded before at all then I can see you have a difficult time. But being that I am a welder, I can still think as a beginner and if you have some experience welding and a Mig welding machine (easiest welding process to learn for most) you should be able to assemble this kit if you have the right tools.

I would avoid any kits NWTi has. NWTi rear bumper kits have poorly cut pieces that do not align well and the "instructions" provided are some half ass pictures taken with little to no information for pieces.
