Has anyone replaced the speaker in the dash?

Original sub is NOT dual voice coil. If it would be dual voice coil it would have two sets of terminals, correct (like JL sub on the left, dual voice coil)? It does not. Original sub has only 1 set of terminals, single voice coil 8". Didn't seen any resistance markings on it.

Interesting, mine WAS dual voicecoil.

So this debate never really ended. Is the center dash speaker a tweeter or full range speaker? Any good threads on how to fix it? Mine blew and I need to replace it. Any help would be very much appreciated

It's a tweeter. I replaced mine with a 3.5" full range speaker, but had to do some trimming and cutting to get it to fit.

Cool that's awesome thanks man. Which tweeter did you use? Can I just pop the speaker guard off the dash and swap it out?

I swapped in a 3.5" Infinity Kappa, I swapped out the door tweeters for 3.5" Kappas in my 08
