Has anyone tried to satoshify an 01 grill?

Can I satoshify my 01 grill? Please read, I've researched

I have talked to [MENTION=76419]Doc2012[/MENTION] here and there about it and I've seen pictures around the forum of different takes on the mod. it has been very difficult for me to find an earlier 3rd gen grill for a price that seems right locally. Anyway has anyone done a full on satoshi grill with the 01' grill if so is there a write up? If not is there anyone out there with A. photo shop skills to show me what it would look like and B. a list of probable supplies I would need to do it with the grill I already have...if it's possible atall...

I did, although not technically a Satoshi mod. I removed the rib features and replaced them with a screen mesh to give it a much cleaner look.

It's possible but requires alot more work. I've seen one person on here that did it but it was awhile ago.

I cut mine apart and put some billet inserts in my old grille.

Ehh went back to stock later on.

I don't think you could do a full on satoshi with our grille easily. It would be difficult to cut out that center horizontal piece with the badge in it, and make it look right. That is why I left it in, and put mesh in the upper and lower openings.

As said above, it wouldn't work out well since the middle section is molded into the sides.
Take a look at partsgeek.com. They have stock grills for 96-98 for $50-60...depending on whether you want chrome or not. This is where I get the grills when I do satoshis for people. They're pretty good quality.
