Has anyone used a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier?

Since getting rid of my truck in favor of my 4runner I was wondering if anyone has used a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier on the back of their runner? I have 8 wrap LC coils in the rear and 882's up front. How much will rear sag with it on?
Just trying to get away from using my trailer. Trying to be self contained

I had an 97 yukon I used one on but it obviously is a beefier vehicle.

i built one of these from scrap iron, it weights about 80-90 lbs and my bike is a 98 xr 400, 4-stroke (heavy bike) on stock suspension. i have driven about 150-200 miles a stretch with no problems and very little sag, so i would imagine that with the lc coils you should be better then good.

Good deal. Thanks for the info. It will way better without a trailer for just one bike. The cr doesnt weigh too much. I'm ready for the snow to be gone!

I'm fabbing up a gas can holder for the roof. It will hold 4 two gallon gas cans accross behind the cargo rack. It will have a rod with a padlock through the handles so people can't help themselves to the pre-mix. I'm using the four cans to keep them lower to the roof. I sat one of my 5 gal cans up there and it stuck up there a mile.

yeah i need todo all of that as well i like the old steel jerry cans and am going to use those on my roof rack as well as a hi-lift i picked up for $20 a axe and shovel......just alot going on with my new arb now and trying to get the tires for my lift sitting in the garage.....i'm all over the dam place right now but it seems as if one day everything will just come together and my rig will be what i want it to be, lol

Haha! I know what you mean. I got my runner in late november and it's been go go go. Lift, LC rims, new tires, tint, complete stereo and new bumpers that are being fabbed as we speak. I'm at the mercy of my friend's time on my bumpers he's been busy repairing snowplow blades which he's making more at then building my bumpers on the side. They'll be ready before long

I use a moto tote on the back of my 96 T4r. I added some Firestone airbags to the stock rear coils. There were around $100.00 I think, and a pretty easy install. I pump them up pretty high and the T4r only sags a little with the moto tote and my 06 KTM 450 exc (about 260 lb bike). It sagged MUCH more without the airbags.

I would not use that with anything more then track bike. If space in the garage is an issue. Look up Scandy trailers or something like that in cali. They sell realy nice foldable 2-3 bike trailers. Used it to bring my FJR from Georgia when I bought it. Hey, it was mid January

Thanks for the responses guys. I do have a trailer when I am pulling more than one bike or my street bike but I want to use it for my cr250 when head to the black hills by myself. I have LC coils in the rear so I might load it up and give it a test run for twenty miles and see how it goes.

You should have no problems with a 250
