Hatch\Latch Problem

Anyone experiencing problems opening or closing their rear hatch? Lately, whenever I to try to open or close the rear hatch it sticks. So, today I took it to the dealer and initially they thought it was the physical latch. So, they attempted to replace it with no success. Apparently, now the problem is electrical. They've ordered a new "computer" to replace the existing one that control the functions of the electronic release and close of the rear hatch.

Now supposedly the hatch is stuck closed and I have to wait until the middle of next week for this so called computer. Anyone have a clue what they are talking about with this computer?

They call just about anything with a wire a computer these days even if it only performs one function without manual input. Like signal from switch on the rear door start motor stop when closed.

There is a "Back Door ECU" (computer) that controls all the inputs and outputs to and from the switches and motors in the back door (latch open, motor close, key switch/lock, window up/down.) It is located in the back door itself.
