I would say that wealth inequality in the United States is one of the most important issues of our time. Trump rally against the ultra-rich during his campaign and then swung in their favor as soon as he took office. Agree?

Almost no one on the left was talking about wealth inequality except for Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. The Democratic Party as it has been called out a long time ago by Ralph Nader was completely taken over by corporatists.

I would even argue that the Democrats left open the hole for Donald Trump to crawl out of via their failed policies that ignored wealth inequality for the last 20 years. Policies like NAFTA policies like H-1B visas, policies like tax subsidies for corporations such as Exxon and corporations and countless other Industries.

The truth is globalization has not worked out very well for the middle class but let's not kid ourselves the Democrats were right there along the way cheering it on.

However let's also not kid ourselves about the Republicans attitude toward taxes in the rich they seem to have completely embraced trickle down economics, a policy that literally no Economist agree works and nowhere in history has it ever been shown to work.

Both sides are unable or not willing to help, it a selfish government that needs to please there base instead of doing a job. Bush handed Obama 8 years and Obama and Company handed Trump the office.

Mostly it is an up welling energy like none other for the rich.
All that money is helping very few. I know I wont be working harder.
I am trying to get it down to about 2 hours a day now. I don't get anymore for working harder.

The Dow is 30 stocks, it will and always has rallied back, lets not be quick to judge everything. This thinking is why Obama and Trump get nothing done. I had some good buys today, but the market is just one aspect of what retirement should be, This country has many issues and Trump as a our leader should make everyone think...... How in the hell did we get here. If you continue to bash the rich they will take there money other places. The leaders that condemn the tax plan benefit from it greatly also. Our leaders ON BOTH Sides are completely clueless to what the lower and middle class need.

Take your level-headed approach somewhere else. This is a forum: where opinions > facts...

yeah, no. the vehicle has no value in japan, since it sits in the US as a 31-year old dinosaur. it has value to me as a daily driver, and it had value to the person i bought it from, in the form of cash.

Taxes should be collected at the state level...why, because the Federal Government's numbers/levels are too broad...the poverty level is relative.

You make $50k/yr in east Tennessee...you are doing ok.

You make $50/yr in Silicon Valley...you are living on the streets.

So, each state should set it's 'levels' accordingly and should collect the taxes.

The IRS should be eliminated...states collect taxes and pays the federal government minus funds for roads, schools, infrastructure, etc. Each state pays the Feds a predetermine portion of the money collect based on size, population, etc.

Does that make no sense or too much sense?

Actually, I'd be down for that, call me a libertarian federalist but this makes kind of a lot of sense to me. I don't know if this would actually result in paying less taxes and I think the debate about "paying their fair share" may simply shift to singling our states instead of individuals but even that may be good because it would take some of the emotion out of it. yeah, I approve!
