Roof Rack time
First of all, need to give Josh, Whitson Metalworks, a well deserve Thank You for all his communication, guidance, and WARNINGS (the arch) and putting up with all my questions. I was thankful that he sold me a set of FEET only for his racks, don't know if it was the kindness of his heart, or was in the Christmas spirit and did so. I don't know if he would do this again. THANK YOU JOSH.
I never had a stock roof rack on my ride, and decided I wanted one. Since I had most of the tools to do this gave it a try, granted I could have given Josh some particulars on measurements, he could have built one for me for my obstacles I have. A cb antenna roof top mount in line with the rear feet mount position.
I decided to use Galvanize IMC tubing to build this, due to it comes in separate pieces and I don't have a pipe bender. Second tool that make these go faster is a pipe notcher that I don't have, so this took some time to make all the pieces.
So much for the BLAH, BLAH, BLAH shit, let's get on with what you all care about ROOF RACK PORN.
The pieces I used and had to cut all pieces to size.
I decided to use galvanize due to, less splatter when welding with flux core, less resistance to rusting, and easier for clean up to be rattle canned.
