having terrible luck

spent months and money on finally deciding on my new lift. purchased the BP-51 and SPC UCA and all was going great until I was torquing my upper 3 bolts that screw into the top hat of my front coilover. had a 3/8" drive torque wrench set to 33lbs as specified and one of the bolts sheared flush with the top of the tophat. took the coilover back out, tried a eazyout and it broke off in it. I am stuck on what to do. the top hat has a torq head bolt that holds it to the top of the coilover eye but I can't get it to break free. any suggestions anyone? I am on blocks at the moment and really don't want to only have 2 bolts instead of the 3.

Sorry I'm not familiar with what you are looking at, but are you able to get a Dremel with a fiber cutoff wheel into that area? If so, and you can cut a good slot, then get (even purchase) a good large slotted screwdriver with a square shaft. Push it into the slot and use an adjustable wrench on the shaft of the screwdriver. Just a thought. BTW, there are flex shafts for Dremels that might help you do this if the Dremel itself is too large.
 
I could be wrong but I think those 3 bolts press out. I helped my friend remove them and press in longer ones for his spacer lift. We used a bench vice and sockets.

I get what you're saying - sorta like wheel lugs? If so, then my suggestion is dead wrong. But he did torque 2 of the 3 bolts, right? Or maybe I'm missing something. Maybe he's torquing nuts instead of bolts...? Again, no pic in my head.
 
this top hat is a flat plate and used 10 x 1.5 x 30 mm bolts to screw down into the top hat. wish they did have studs. there is a large bolt that goes through the side that holds the top hat on but I can't get that to break loose
 
I think at this point a picture of what you are specifically working on might be helpful....

But in lieu of; undo the other two bolts and drop the assembly so you have a partial threaded stud available to unscrew using locking pliers????

Don't the top hat bolts (studs) just get pressed into the top hat? (Caveat - I'm not familiar with the OME coillovers).

The top hat is only aluminium and the bolts (or studs) should either be pressed in, or dropped in, to the hat. You should be able to drill these out with either a normal drill bit (messy) reverse drill bit (better), easy-out (best) or similar. Even a punch may work!
