Hawaii T4R owners: Did you get rustproofing and/or backup sensor?

I am looking to buy a 4Runner soon and I am wondering if anybody bought the rustproofing option. Was it just a spray-on protection or does it have the electronic installed under the hood?

How about the EchoMaster backup sensor - is it worth it? Does it really work as describe in the brochure?

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I didn't opt for any dealer installed options. I don't trust them!
I have backup sensors on my Lexus IS250 and they work well. However, they are factory installed.
Sorry I don't have personal experience with the dealer one's.

I just moved here. I take it that rust can be a big problem? I spend a lot of time at the beach. I'm lazy when it comes to washing my truck but I guess I should start washing it down more to remove the salt.

Bought mine from Windward Toyota back in July '04. Great dealership with the best price on the island (at the time). I declined the rustproofing and also the Echomaster back-up sensor. They wanted the sensor for $300. I took the brochure and looked online. Found the same one for $160 shipped. Installed it myself and one of my best investments (the T4R is the other best). Overall I had great experience w/ Windward. No rust in the T4R yet, even after spending 3 years in the island of Guam.
