specifically for use with steel cable.
I know what is supposed to be used, but im curious what everyone thinks about mixing it up a bit?
I have a steel hawse with steel cable on my truck, it seems to work ok, but there are some grooves now.
currently on my 85 runner, I have steel cable, and a roller, but my bumper was designed around a hawse, so it needs to be changed.
im considering using an Aluminum Hawse with the steel cable on the 4runner.
I realize it will wear faster than the steel, but it has to be easier on the cable itself, right?
any thoughts?
i'll add a poll, and throw UHMW into the mix as well. ive seen where some people have used that type with steel also.
