HD Torque Converters

I'm getting my tranny rebuilt right now and the mechanic is wondering if I want to put in an HD or just regular torque converter. Does anyone run an HD one? How much better are they compared to the regular ones? Does it really help with any off-road performance, I've read that they help with the low end torque but thats about it.

Also if anyone has any links to some HD converters that would be great, I have not had much success with google so far to find one.

Level 10 has a performance build package that also has an improved torque convertor. I am looking to put one of these packages in my 4R this summer.

Price difference? Longevity? (or is it burning the candle at both ends kinda thing?)

I'd say maybe fro crawling? But don't we already have some pretty heavy duty tcs given the very long life the regular ones give now? :cowboy:

4runners didn't come with HD ones from the factory, and I've seen an original with over 700,000 miles on it. Don't see the point in my opinion.
