Question about Transmission and reading fluid temp.

I use my 07V8 4Runner fairly often for towing, whenever I'm towing something heavy I monitor the transmission temp and coolant temp with my reader and the Torque App on my phone. I remember seeing discussions on this forum and others that there are actually 2 different temp readings, one for the torque converter temp and one for the main fluid temp. I even remember finding a different PID for what was supposed to be the main fluid temp but it never worked for me.

My questions are this.

Is it true that there are 2 different transmission temps that can be read?

If so does anyone have the two working PIDs to use for both?

Is the fluid in the transmission all the same so is there only one temp to read anyway or are there actually 2 different fluid sections and two different temps to monitor?

If there are 2 different temps, one each for the main fluid and one for the torque converter, what are the upper safe limits for each?

The PID I'm currently using is this one,

(((((G*256)+H)*(7/100))-400)/10)

When the torque converter unlocks this temp reading shoots up pretty quickly so I'm guessing if there are 2 different temp readings this one is for the converter.

I've thought about adding a larger aftermarket transmission cooler, any suggestions on what to get for that? If you did it, how much difference did it make? There doesn't seem to be a huge amount of room for anything larger unless you move the cooler to the other side or move the horn.

Or is there a fan that can be added to the transmission cooler?

Thanks for any info you might have.

too much to upload here but you can see which ones pertain to temps.

Im running the B&M 70264 11x6x1.5”. 14,400 BTU cooler plus the Derale 25791 thermostat. The temp runs about 130* Normally and 165* towing no matter how hot it is outside. It fits nicely in front of condenser on passenger side. . Well worth the investment.
