Head Gasket DIY...

Hey all, haven't been on in a LONG time. 2006 4.0L head gasket usual business. Hoping for a bit of help on clarifying some details.

What exactly is needed for the head gasket job? Doing this myself, not too worried about that. Just want to make sure I've got the right parts. I've seen a few "engine rebuild" kits but conflicting info makes it hard to be sure.

Any help on part numbers, places to buy, etc, would be appreciated. And if anyone wants to help out, I have a fully-stocked beer fridge (near Tampa).

Thanks in advance!

Had mine done, will need to send heads to be machined unless can do that yourself as well...

Do you need a different size/thickness HG after machining the heads?
Seems like if they are not warped, due to over heating, you wouldn't need to mill the heads? ...just thinking out loud.

For the rebuild it looks like all the parts needed are in the 04112-31720 valve grind gasket set, it is just one side, needs the other HG but has all the little seals/parts.
I asked this back here...http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/188699-***-v6-head-gasket-action-request-***-42.html

Also Head bolts, water-pump, thermostat and belt/pulleys.

A couple guys have said they did it DIY style.
Most of the cost seems to come from labor...claimed 20 hour job.

I can drop all the links I have been gathering...if its helpful.
