Head light question

I just got a 2003 SR5 4runner. If I leave the head lights on they will auto turn off. So I am thinking, If I always leave the lights on they are like daytime running lights and auto lights. I can just leave them on and not think about it. any thoughts or comments....

Yup, that's what I use to do. Any way to make myself visible while commuting through the DC Metro area is a big plus.
