Head Unit Install....TROUBLE

I recently had a MUL-T-LOCK installed on my 4runner. My question now is...Can I remove the factory HU now that the damn mul-t-lock has the side trim panel trapped....

I know what it is, but where did you have it installed ? Is it actually locking the HU in ? A pic might help.
