Headers

My exhaust is falling apart.. I am wondering if any of you have put headers on your truck (esp 3.0 L owners)

1. WHat type of header did you put on.
2. Did you notice that much power difference.
3. Did you put on a high flow cat?

Yes I have a 3.0 with headers it made a huge difrence and they are downey headers

Heat from headers

Did your headers melt anything? (did you get the coated type?)

I have been reading that the headers are melting things around them..

I am assuming that you felt a power increase..

not that i noticed there isent much to melt around them I have mud coated headers lol Its worth the money for them

I live in the mountains and I'm looking for more power out of my 4Runner's 3.0 to climb the hills.

Did you install them? How did it go? I've heard putting headers on this engine/truck can be a nightmare.

How much louder are the headers than the stock exhaust?

The Downey site doesn't list prices, how much did you pay?
