To Canadain members on the board and those who have visited

I'm heading to Canada mid-July with my brother for a few days as part of some traveling I'll be doing around Glacier National Park. One of the guys I work with mentioned that I should hit up Banff and the Columbia Icefields.

Soi 'm wondering what you guys can tell me about the area's and possible places to camp.

Banff and the surrounding area are definitely beautiful. You'll of course want to stop at Lake Louise. If you end up heading west at all I would recommend checking out where I live in the Okanagan valley. Its one of the hottest areas in Canada in the summer and there are LOTS of great places to camp, lots of lakes and lots of beaches.

Do you have any specific places you intend to go? What type of trip are you looking to have? are you going primarily to sightsee, hike/bike/4x4/etc, relax and chill out, party, or?

Can you elaborate specifically on what part you are going (city/province)? Being the second largest country in the world, it would help to know in order to give some suggestions! It would be like saying "I'm going to the states"- so is that NYC, Florida, or Alaska (you get the point)? :)
