They are pretty expensive I think.

I would be interested to hear from someone who has upgraded to see if it was worth it.

My apologies man! Hate to hear that, I wasn't trying to be an ass. If I were you I'd check all your local junk yards first. If no luck there, I'd get the body shop where your getting your car fixed to order them, so your insurance will cover it! :bigok:

Haha NP man, they look good!

yep pretty much a straight bolt on oem is the way to go payed around $70 dollars for a set in decent shape ...also went with the clear corners for 99-02 and a 99 grill ....

I bought the 99-02 look for mine, with the black out line, they fit fine... I did a little tweeking on the angle of the beams, but other than that they look awesome...

I paid, i think, it was $ 150, that included the headlights and the black corners... Brand new right from the supplier in Cali!

I know the "apparence" of the 99+ headlamps is a big improvement, but is the auctual output a lot better? Like worth $150? I have the hazy '98 headlamps with Silverstar Ultras and they seem to light up the road pretty good.

I think I could tell a little bit of a difference but not much. Mostly in the width of the light beam. The newer ones seem a lot wider. To me anyways. I cant really remember what what it was like before.

I did it mainly for looks, and didnt think much of it till i really looked at the old ones, the new ones are just so much nicer. IMO

i work at a body shop but they wanted to charge me 250 per light so i said no thank you. So went to ebay and got a set of 99-02 black headlights and corners ill post before and after pics when i get em

I might have to seriously consider getting a set of these now that I got my windshield tinted. I'm torn between these which are $150 and HIDs which are $70 for cheap ones.

I got those black headlights and the beam is definitely wider, it more for looks than anything else... HIDs might come later for me but eh i dunno...

The light is not blocked by that hazy refractive lens!

Wow. I love that look, do the JDM headlights and grill bolt right up as well as USDM?

Any modification? your runner looks great!

Thanks.
Everything fits perfect and bolts right up except the panels under the headlights are a little off. I just have to move the holes up a fraction of an inch to make it line up perfect.

I plan on getting the HID conversion too, but you should also upgrade to the 99-02 housing and lens if you are doing that because it is really the outside glass lens that refracts the light in the 96-98 that needs to be replaced no matter what you do.

That way you have maximum output:)
