Headlight Aim

I recently purchased a 2008 4Runner - SR5.

I have noticed the headlight aim (lowbeam only) is out of whack. I have adjusted the lights several times but can not seem to get them right. The problem does not seem to be the left light and right light alignment with each other, rather the left light itself.

There is almost a 90 degree offset of light that comes from the left side - if that makes sense. Basically, if I raise that light up or down, the angle goes with it. If anyone has expereinced the problem, please let me know how you may have resolved it. It must be an issue with the left light bouncing off of the high beam? Is there a way to adjust the lateral position of the headlights?

Thanks guys!!

First of all...make sure all of your bulbs are in straight. On my previous vehicle, it was easy to put the bulb into the slot/socket without it being perfectly straight.

Also, make sure the bulbs are not damaged either...bent in their sockets, etc.

You said that your 4runner was a 2008...I assume it is still under factory warranty...I would take it back to dealer if you can to have them deal with it...maybe you have a defective headlight lens...

It is hard to find a shop that deals with headlight aiming...but some body shops do if you can find one.

U have projectors , it should be like this ____/"""""____/""""" , it's normal for projector lamps to be like that, make sure it's not to high or too low, affects the light output.

____/"""""____/""""" that's it!

thats how its supposed to be eh? i've been losing my mind trying to fix it! whats the point in the offset?

should be somewhat like this
