Headlight Alignment

Hey Everybody! Just joined yesterday. Great Forum! I've been searching, but can't come up with any answers to my problem.

I have a 2000 SR5 and just threw in some Sylvania Sylverstars. The problem is that the passenger side is way brighter than the driver's side. Is it possible to adjust the aim, and if so how would you do it???

If you look behind the headlight, there should be a 4mm bolt head at the base of the headlight housing. If you tighten it it should raise the aim, thus loosening it will lower the aim.

I thought this was due to wanting the driverside a little lower for oncoming traffic, and having the passenger side headlight higher for traffic signs and such. If ya closely look at the lights on all vehicles while riding in them, they are all slightly higher on the passenger side. It is noticeable on flat, straight, dark roads. I believe its from factory this way.

Yes, Mr. Dabadina is right. It is that way for a reason and I think DOT highly recommends that too, hence why it comes from the factory that way..
