Some pics may help on this one! Bulbs can be a lot like USBs sometimes but usually you can get them to go if you try enough combos of angles and rotations. The next question I would ask is are they right size? Compare the HID bulb base to the bulbs you took out to be sure.

The blue grommet that comes with the kit is a bit taller than the stock one. I swapped what was on the stock light onto the XD kit, and everything worked a lot easier. I actually ended up going back and using the XD grommet later when I had condensation inside of my passenger side headlight. I had the piece stored in my garage during the Texas heat, and I believe that made it malleable enough to help with the installation. Try heating it for a bit with a hair dryer.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up switching out the rubber grommet. Had some that were a bit thinner than the xd grommet but a little thicker than the ones from the stock halogen ones. I tried heating the xd ones but it was a no go. Freakin ended up tearing up my fingers lol.

BTW, what is the purpose of the two relay harnesses that come with the kit? Did not see those being installed on the 4runner install instructions that I looked at.... (i did not install those).

Just for reference I had issues too and tried swapping the grommet out and it wiggled too much when driving. So I went back and ended up getting some pliers and using those to hold the bulb (carefully), push it in and tighten it. Saved my fingers because I too had cut them up the first time.

Thanks for the info. I eill keep an eye ou for that while I am driving.

I think they include the relays because if you were installing them from scratch (aka adding a light that wasn't there before), that's how you would wire them up, but they do seem kinda pointless in this application.

I just saved them and ended up using one when I added a light bar to my RZR.
