What is the brightest headlight bulb you can put in a 2002 4Runner without running into any problems with excessive heat or burning of wires? The stock headlights are horrible for night driving.

Correct. Not too many options. I like the Sylvania Silverstars but they don't last very long. Like 2 years maybe for a nightly driver.

it's plug and play. Plug the ballast into the head lamp plug, set the light in place In the housing and connect it to the ballast. 15-20 minutes all in. They are a bit pricey at near $300 bucks but 2600 lumen low beam 3600 on high

You may have to jump the fog light switch if you have factory fog lamps but the light gains were crazy. The piaa set didn't scatter like the last set of less expensive LEDs I had either.

Piaa Xtreme White Pluse 4000k. I've had them in for maybe 9 months to a year. Love them. Only set you back about $60 too.
