Headlight Condensation, should I buy new or fix?

What are my options, with the change of weather I am getting condensation in my passenger side headlight, I spent an hour yesterday drying it out and ensuring it was sealed everywhere - turns out I did not do it well enough. When I came out this morning It was full of condensation again.

Should I just buy new headlights, if so what are my options that are not crap? I also have never purchased headlights sooooooo what is the pricing on that?

How hard is it to mod your headlights? I am kind of scared of putting them in the oven and doing them that way.... I also can not find a thread or build on doing that. Ideas?

I am open to all options!

P.S. I have a 2008 4runner limited in salsa red. I have a dobinsons 3 inch lift enroute, a gobi ladder, and a yotamafia bumper enroute. After 10 months of owning I finally am starting my build

If you have the scratch, buy new...if you'd be making things more tough with buying new on purchasing other needs...fix...rule of thumb I always try to use, DO THE CHEAPEAST THING FIRST! I would try to fix it with some oven time and maybe new butyl and if that ends poorly, buy new...

I had the same problem on my ‘05.

I unplugged and removed the bulbs, removed the headlight housing and using a hair dryer, I directed the stream of warm air into one of the holes where the bulb socket goes.

It took awhile, but it dried up the condensation. I also let it set in the sun for several hours to ensure all moisture was gone.

I used a clear sealant called Through the Roof to seal carefully around where the clear part of the housing is joined to the back part.

That was a year and a half ago and no condensation!

I saved big bucks!

I did something similar, but just used caulk I had lying around and no issues so far

cheapest easiest option if you dont want to buy new is to buy a used OEM one. or try again to re-seal it.

If you do not go OEM , you are asking for more problems. I have an SR5 and purchased the OEM lamp assemblies for the same year in the sport version which have darker lenses, and it was worth it !
