Headlight Globes

Anyone know if you can just replace the globes in the headlights of a 94 T4R?

The actual light got a chip in it and it got water in it before I could seal it up and this seems to have caused it to blow.

Might be better idea to just replace the whole unit anyway now that its chipped.

You'll only be able to find them as a hole assembly. It shouldn't be much. dont pay more then 100 bucks.

Really? That sucks. My friend has a RAV4 and was able to just buy globes. Oh well, suppose it might just leak again if I just replaced the globe 8)

Hmm, so Lordco wants 288 bucks CAD for the whole assembly or 8 bucks CAD each for the globes.

Waiting to see what Napa says.

A parts search online shows I can get the assembly including globes but not the glass lens for $128 US.

or $25 US for just the Clear Glass Lens, no globes.

How many frickin parts do I need!! 8)

I believe its just the glass lens thats been chipped, hence the water getting in and blowing the globes. Hopefully I can just get the lens and globes for under 40 bucks would be nice.

What are all these headlight mods people talk about? They really worth the extra money/effort?

Good place to go! May have to make my way out that side of our beautiful counrty sometime soon. Got family in pemberton that i have never met.

Revisiting this.

I pulled it all apart yesterday to take a look at removing just the glass lens as this is the part that is cracked and has water in it. I was either going to replace it or dry it out and plug the crack with silicon, however I cannot for the life of me get the darn lens off!!

There are 4 little metal clips holding it down, pop them off, but the lens seems super glued to the rest of the assenbly. If I try to pry it off in any way, the glass lens just chips and small pieces fly away.

Any thoughts?

Looks like I might need to get the full assembly 8(

The lens does not come off of the assembly easily. From the back, the bulb unplugs and will turn out of the back. If the lens is cracked, you have to replace the whole assembly. Sorry. The are glued together really well. You can seperate them with heat. I have heard of people sticking them in the oven. But i dont know temps or times that work.

Well thanks for the info, wonder why a heap of places online sell the lens only. Ill have to source a new headlight assembly then!!
