Headlight Issues.......Please Help

Almost everytime I use my turn signals while the lights are on they flicker the second you move the lever. If they don't flicker at that point, they'll completely flash when I complete the turn and the signal automatically stops. Its getting worse lately.

I've got the DDM h.i.d's but it did it with stock lights so it doesn't have anything to do with that.

Any ideas?

Are you 100% sure that you are not pulling the turn signal lever towards you when you move it up or down (for left and right signalling)? That will trigger the high beams sometimes. Just asking because some people have a tendancy to do that without realizing.

Otherwise, it would seem that something might be loose it the stalk assembly resulting in the contacts becoming too close. I've never had the issue so I don't know how easy it is to inspect.

Definitely not pulling it for the high beams. Even if I accidently bump into it they will flicker

I had a similar problem last year on my 97'
Though my turnsignals stopped working all together,
I ended up having to replace the turn signal stalk.

Any update on this issue? Just got a 96 with high mileage and trying to make some necessary fixes, including this loose connection issue.

There is a rebuild fix for the signal stalk out there, i tried it and you end up breaking more than its worth. I bought a used stalk off someone here for $20 shipped and replaced it. Never a problem a since. Look at junkyards.
