I went to my '98 4runner this morning and the headlights were on and very dim (on all night, it would appear). The switch was off.
After working the switch with no effect, I left the switch on the running light position.
Several minutes later, I turned the switch to off and the headlights did turn off, but in a few seconds later the lights activated. I could hear the relay click and then emit a vibrating sound (like the relay had time to cool).
This pattern of "turn switch off and lights turn on a few seconds later with relay click and vibration" several times.
Is the relay suspect or is there another problem (like the multiswitch).
